The practice of improving the well-being of vulnerable children and youth is both a challenge and an opportunity. Meeting the complex needs of young people who face a daunting array of problems -- poverty, violence, addiction -- and who often have suffered great trauma is critical. We see the opportunity to look beyond the challenge to the potential that lies within each young person to become healthy and productive adults.
Through our fellowship program, we support individuals who are ready to meet the challenge and to seize the opportunity by changing the practices currently used to deliver services to disadvantaged youth and children.
